I recently finished reading the inspiring The Code of the Extraordinary Mind by Vishen Lakhiani. This is his first book, and as a big fan, follower, and student of Mindvalley Academy, I was excited to explore the ideas and lessons he shares in it.

I would like to share some of the ideas and lessons that stood out to me from the book.
6 Phase Meditation from The Code of the Extraordinary Mind
Practice this 6 Phase Meditation and your life can change.
Compassion
Feel the love glowing within you. Imagine a bubble of light surrounded by love and visualize this bubble getting bigger and eventually surrounding the entire planet. Feel yourself connected to the planet and everything around you.
Gratitude
Be genuinely grateful for everything that you have right now. Count your blessings. Think back on the great things that happened yesterday or last week and allow yourself to feel grateful for them.
Forgiveness
Think of a person who made you angry or toward whom you are holding negative feelings. Imagine that person standing in front of you and asking for forgiveness. Then, imagine yourself forgiving them and releasing the negative energy.
The Future Dreams
Have a vision of your future. Imagine how your world will look three years from now. Think about your goals and ambitions, and imagine how it would feel to accomplish them.
The Perfect Day
Imagine yourself having a wonderful day. Think about how you would like your day to unfold. Imagine what you want to see, where you want to go, and what you want to do.
Blessings
Imagine yourself connected to a higher power. Visualize a beautiful white light shining upon you and feel that the universe has your back.
The Awakening in The Code of the Extraordinary Mind
There are two types of awakening that a person can experience.
First, there is Kensho, which refers to growth through pain.
The difficult experiences we go through can teach us valuable lessons and help us recognize when we may need to change our direction.
On the other hand, the second is Satori, which refers to a sudden insight or awakening., which refers to a sudden insight or awakening. This can happen while meditating, listening to music, or experiencing something deeply inspiring.
The 4 Types of Human Awakening
Level 1: Culturescape
At this level, people may feel shaped and controlled by the world around them. Their beliefs and choices can be strongly influenced by society and the people around them.
Level 2: The Awakening
At this level, people begin to become aware of the life they want to create. They understand what they want and start taking action toward their goals and desires.
Level 3: Recreating Yourself
At this stage, you become more connected to yourself and learn to find happiness in the present moment. You begin to understand that changing the world around you starts with changing what is happening within you.
Level 4: Become Extraordinary
At this level, you begin to feel connected to something greater than yourself. You may experience a calling to start meaningful projects, pursue inspiring ideas, or contribute to something bigger. You become more connected to a higher purpose.
Ask yourself: Which level are you in right now?
My Takeaway
What I found interesting about The Code of the Extraordinary Mind is the idea that we don’t always have to accept the beliefs and rules that society gives us. We can question them, discover what truly matters to us, and consciously create the life we want.
The concepts around meditation, awakening, forgiveness, gratitude, and having a vision for the future also reminded me of the importance of looking within ourselves.
This book gave me many ideas to think about, and I hope these lessons inspire you to explore your own beliefs and discover what an extraordinary life means to you.
